RONALDO: KAKA TO SCORE AGAINST AC MILAN

The Portuguese striker of Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo eyes the Champions League fixture against AC Milan to be held today.

The interview with "global ambassador" for motor oil company Castrol's took place after the launching of the new Castrol Rankings, a rolling 12 month ranking of soccer players from across Europe's top 5 leagues.

"The coming match in the Champions League will be very hard," said the former leader of Manchester United. "Italians never give up easily."

"We failed unfortunately to win at home [Real suffered 2:3 loss at Santiago Bernabeu] so we must get three points on the road."

"I am expecting only such a result. We are to play wonderfully. If we win we will advance to the next stage."

"And it does not really matter whether we are number one in the group or not. Of course it is better to end up on top of your group but it is also not bad to be runners-up. I have nothing against getting to the play-offs from the second spot."

"I think that in the coming match Kaka will score against his former team," smiles the 24-year old.

"To tell the truth I am a bit surprised with the performance of AC Milan. They lost to Zurich but defeated Real."

"The Italians show good football of course but when they arrived in Madrid our supporters thought we would outplay them."

"Though players of such great clubs as Milan sometimes show better display against stronger opponents. I watched the first leg."

"Before the break the Italians did not look very well but in the second half everything changed they started to attack more and scored three times."

"So you see Real also can lose. But these defeats are over. We are to think about the present and move along."

"I am not going to Milan with my team. I prefer to stay in Madrid and continue my recovering after the injury. The rehabilitation proceeds well and I hope to appear on the pitch soon."

"It is not an easy period for the team now. This cannot be so that a team is always on the top. It is impossible."

"But sometimes people cannot comprehend it for Real used to win every match for quite a period of time. Our supporters would not put up with the idea that sometimes we do not play as well as before and can even suffer a loss."

"This disappoints us a lot. For the management of the club bought many new players, invited a new coach. It is hard to become a splendid team at once."
