CSKA extended their winning streak to nine matches by beating Zalgiris away.
"The team showed fighting character and snatched victory in very uneasy match", said CSKA head coach Evgeniy Pashutin. "We knew that Zalgiris is very dangerous in Kaunas and we were ready for it".

"My team makes debut in Top-16, while only four Khimki players had experience of playing in Euroleague before", said head coach of Khimki Sergio Scariolo. "It’s difficult to play against such team as Olympiacos away. Young players were under pressure and we made too many mistakes, especially at the beginning of the match".
