BASKETBALL: LOKOMOTIV SECURED A PLACE IN PLAY-OFFS

On Tuesday Lokomotiv became the seventh team that secured itself a place in the Russian basketball Superleague play-offs.

Lokomotiv vs. Ural-Great – 75:66
(14:21, 17:14, 24:21, 20:10)

Most effective: in Lokomotiv – Marshall (16), Capin and Morgunov (both – 14); in Ural-Great – Plisnic (20), Washington (13).

Before the match the Superleague Department recalled its decision to withdraw the license of the new head coach of Ural-Great Alexandr Kesar.

The presence of the Serbian specialist on the bench helped the guests only in the first three quarters. And the last period Rostov players start with a 7:0 jerk and calmly brought the game to a victory.

The defeat of Ural-Great has harmed its prospects for getting into the play-offs.

Their main rival is Enisey that has all the chances to stay in the play-off zone with only one game to go against the outsiders of the Superleague CSK-VVS Samara.

And Ural-Great is to meet the unbeatable CSKA and currently fourth best Unics.
