St. Petersburg club debarred Maxim Sushinsky from the team following his harsh interview where he criticized their coaching staff and club’s selection policy ahead of the season.
"We have analyzed Sushinsky’s interview on our return from away matches," said Alexandr Medvedev to Sport Express. "We decided to temporarily discharge him from the team for infringement of ethics and his contract obligations."
"The question of his work in SKA as well as in other clubs from KHL, will be decided within next few days. I suppose that such actions regarding not only his club, but the whole hockey league, are inadmissible."
"Nobody explained to me reasons for my dismissal," commented Sushinsky. "I was said about it only ahead of the training."
