The Russian Olympic Committee Deputy Secretary General Leonid Miroshnichenko commented on the Olympic news from China.
"I wouldn’t say that the opening ceremony for the Olympic Village was very festive," said Miroshnichenko to Sport Express. "It’s pleasant that our rowing team was one of the first to enter the Olympic Village."
"Athletes from Moldova, Ukraine and Slovenia have already landed in Beijing."
"The city is looking forward to the Olympic games and local people’s have very much turned their attention towards this XXIX Olimpiad."
